Tahmineh Mokhtari

I am Tahmineh Mokhtari, Ph.D., an accomplished biomedical scientist and educator with dual doctorates—one in Anatomical Sciences from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and another in Neuroscience from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. With over a decade of teaching and research experience across institutions in Iran, China, and the United States, I have made significant contributions to the health sciences. Currently, I am serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Davis, where my research broadly investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms of diseases, particularly focusing on inflammatory pathways and the development of innovative therapeutics. My interdisciplinary approach integrates advanced methodologies, including in silico techniques (such as network pharmacology, molecular docking, and data analysis), in vitro experiments (like cell culture), and in vivo studies (including animal models and behavioral assessments). My work aims to deepen our understanding of disease processes and translate scientific discoveries into potential treatments for a variety of health conditions. As an educator, I am committed to fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments, where I integrate cutting-edge research into my teaching to encourage critical thinking and inspire the next generation of scientists.
