I hold a Master of Science in Technical Communication, two graduate certificates in Plain Language and Medical Applied Health Communication, a Bachelor of Science in Professional Writing, and an Associate of Applied Science in Digital Communications with a graphic design emphasis. I have more than ten years of published writing experience and more than five years of teaching experience at the college level.

I bring a hybrid background in higher education operations, nonprofit program delivery, and communications, with 10+ years coordinating complex projects, optimizing workflows, and supporting data-informed decisions. As a professor and faculty development lead, I’ve built SOPs and training materials, streamlined cross-team processes, and tracked KPIs to ensure on-time, high-quality program execution. In my nonprofit leadership work, I manage vendor relationships, procurement workflows, budgets, and logistics for virtual and in-person events while maintaining clear, plain-language documentation and stakeholder communications. Earlier roles as a writing consultant and journalist sharpened my ability to translate complex information into actionable insights, uphold compliance, and meet tight deadlines. I’m fluent in Google Workspace and common project tools, comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment, and experienced with proposal coordination and reporting—skills that map directly to a Business Services Manager focused on organizational efficiency, member services, and continuous improvement.

I am a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin's Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership & Policy. I plan to graduate in 2026. I hold a Master of Science in Technical Communication from the University of Houston-Downtown and two graduate certificates in Plain Language and Medical Applied Health Communication.
