Sylvia Guillory

     I have B.A. in Art Education with a concentration in Ceramics. I also pursued a Masters degree in psychology at McNeese University, as well as a MA in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary. 

     I worked for Jeff Davis and Calcasieu Parish school board for 16 years in the classroom. I left teaching to homeschool and take care of one of our children who had a lot of medical issues during through high school. Since he graduated this past year, which has freed up my time to do other things. 
     I have been working several jobs which are of importance to me. I am passionate about helping women feel and look their best, so I started as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay. I absolutely love being able to have a flexible schedule. I also create and sell my own art, and sometimes teach lessons and classes on occasion. I also run our small farm, and make products from goat milk such as candles, soaps, and other bath products that are sold locally in several stores as well as several online stores. 
     I like to keep busy, and I am always open to new creative endeavors. I also have experience in marketing, hotel management, food and beverage management, retail management, and youth ministry, to name a few other things that I have done other than art or education. I am currently searching for a new creative outlet.
