Experience

My dissertation, “Sex- and region-specific regulation of VMN glucose counterregulation by astrocyte glucose-6-phosphatase-β,” investigated how estrogen regulates neuroprotective responses during hypoglycemia. Through this work, I utilized molecular techniques such as laser-catapult microdissection and gene knockdown in rodent models, strengthening my skills in hypothesis-driven research, experimental design, and data analysis.

Additionally, my industry experience in clinical data management for oncology, hematology, and ophthalmology studies has deepened my understanding of data integrity and the regulatory standards necessary for scientific excellence.
