I am a nurse practitioner currently performing C&P exams for the DVA contracted through Optum.

Experience

I have been performing C&P exams for the past ~4 years.  This consists of performing physical examinations on various systems of the body as well as performing a chart review in order to complete DataBase Questionaires (DBQs) ordered by the DVA.  The charting is extensive in order for the DVA to get a better medical picture of the Veteran's disability and how that disability is currently affecting them.  There are individual DBQs for conditions which include Shoulder conditions, Cardiac conditions, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes, Headaches disorders, amongst numerous others.
