Stephen Zara

Hello!

My name is Steve, and since graduating college, I've worked as a middle school social studies teacher. I initially began working in my district as a long-term leave replacement teacher, eventually settling in to a full-time teaching position. I've taught grades 6-8 in the topics of World Civ, US I & US II, as well as personal finance courses to 7th graders. Additionally, I've worked as an assistant varsity swim team coach for my district high school.

While I have an immense passion for teaching and the art of education, I am looking to continue to advance my career and search for opportunities that allow me to further develop skills that I've honed as a teacher.

• 3 years of middle school teaching experience
• Have taught extensively virtually through the COVID-19 pandemic, in a hybrid manner as students began to return to school, as well as standard, in-person instruction
• Assistant varsity swim teach coach for the district high school
