Rheonix, Inc. – Ithaca, NY – Senior Director, Information Systems

January 2014–Present

Responsible for information systems and hardware infrastructure corporate-wide, including multi-site WAN and network of remote users.

Support and maintenance of all desktop and server hardware platforms.

Long-range strategic planning of a secure, scalable network and server farm, including failover, redundancy, and capacity planning, load balancing and performance tuning, remote server monitoring solutions and disaster recovery planning.

Recently designed and implemented infrastructure for new subsidiary including server farm, security cameras with DVR retention, facility badge access and environmental monitoring, onsite and offsite data backups, and LIS system interfaced to PCR lab testing equipment.

 

Rheonix, Inc. – Ithaca, NY – Senior Director, Customer Service

August 2020–Present

Built Customer Service department from the ground up, including 24hr call center, in-house team of Systems Integration Engineers, and Field Service Engineers. Developed policies and procedures     in accordance with Quality System. Responsible for installation, training, and ongoing support and maintenance of entire customer base.

March 2022–Present

Direct Inbound and Outbound Shipping and Logistics team.  Implemented strict inventory movement controls in multiple warehouse locations to strengthen product leveling in support of growing manufacturing plan.  Worked with logistics team to maximize MRP/ERP capabilities to overcome inventory and planning shortcomings.  Executed cost-saving consolidation measures in multiple warehouse locations, making product more easily available and less costly to store.

January 2014–Present

Serve in role as SAP Business ByDesign System Administrator, where responsibilities include form customization, screen adaptations, managementdashboards, and business analytics development such as custom data sources, KPI'S, and broadcast reporting.

May 2014–January 2015

Responsible for information systems and hardware infrastructure corporate-wide, including multi-site local campus and overseas networked production environment.

Oversaw all infrastructure-related planning, including tactical initiatives to scale corporate growth in support of the business plan.

Provided consultation intelligence and implementation planning to management, related to internal company software products and information systems.

Developed and maintained vendor and B2B relationships with strategic 3rd party companies.

 

Kionix, Inc. – Ithaca, NY – Director, MIS/IT

November 2005–January 2014

Led all strategic IT and MIS initiatives surrounding growth of fledgling high-tech MEMS manufacturing company into a $100+ million dollar a year industry leader. Planned and implemented in-house ERP/MRP solution custom-tailored to specific corporate needs. Total package included launch of Syteline ERP for financials, BOM/Item Master - together with in-house developed web-based WIP tracking, order entry, invoicing, and shipping functions.

Implemented several management reporting solutions, including SAP Business Objects Enterprise and Microsoft SharePoint. Customized and implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution, deploying to and supporting multi-national user base in 7 countries. Designed and implemented a scalable database, application, and file server environment including offsite redundancy.

 

Kionix, Inc. – Ithaca, NY – Chief Reporting Architect and Head Business Analyst

November 2005–January 2014

Served on team of core people who developed and populated an information portal for sharing corporate financial, IP, and operational data with potential buyers - all of which came to fruition with the successful sale of Kionix to a Japanese company in late 2009.

Served as chief reporting architect and head business analyst for all corporate reporting platforms.

 

HealthCareOne – Syracuse, NY – Director, Product Development

December 2000–November 2005

Led a team of 4 Software Engineers and two Network Specialists in support, implementation, and development of a medical transcription processing system. System provided for all aspects of the life cycle of a medical dictation, from voice collection from the caregiver via PDA, telephone, or other dictation device, to back-end creation of the transcribed note and delivery back to the dictator via client-server or web-based application. Duties included coordination and scheduling of installations, development and implementation of new technologies related to voice capture and document management, as well as server design and management.

Additional responsibilities included client training and support, creation of management reports to aid off- shore contractors in utilizing typing module to run their businesses, hardware and software purchasing and requisition, and developing business relationships with third party partners in support of corporate goals.

Worked with CEO/CTO in pursuit of investment money with outside agencies, including strategic long-range goal planning, business plan creation, and analysis of current and future technological advancement plans.

 

Health Care Data Systems – Dewitt, NY – Director, Software Engineering

November 1999 – December 2000

Was responsible for all application development initiatives relating to physician office automation products.  Directed a staff of 3 project managers and 28 software engineers who were responsible for creating and supporting client-server, legacy mainframe, and web-based applications.  In addition to administrative leadership and strategic corporate planning, a hands-on management approach allowed for in-depth involvement in technical and design aspects of each product.

Additional responsibilities included analyzing and recommending technology as it related to the corporate strategy for the future as well as research and development of new platforms, hardware/software and determining their functional position within the company.

Also functioned as key technical liaison in forming business-to-business relationships with industry partners and investment firms.

Education

Professionally trained in computer repair, MS Office Products, PowerBuilder, Oracle RDBMS, SQL, Crustal Reports, SAP ByDesign.
