Stephanie Salazar

My name is Stephanie Salazar and I am an estate manager/personal assistant currently working in Washington, DC. My husband is expanding his business to Seattle where he expects major growth, so I am looking for a new position in the Emerald City. I do not need to be relocated, that is already taken care of. 

My parents always told me to be modest, but the fact of the matter is...I am the best of the best when it comes to my line of work. I am extremely empathic which means I cannot help but to put myself into other people's shoes. I have found this has greatly served me in helping to create harmony in houses where perhaps the staff were unhappy, or the principals were stressed. I have an innate ability to almost become psychic with my principals. I get to a point where I know them so well I know what they need, and I do it, before they even thought to ask for it. I also never come with problems, always multiple solutions, or simply a solution and the principal never even finds out there was a problem in the first place (most ideal.) My former employers would call me a miracle worker. I have been asked to do outlandish things, but I always come through. The people I manage tend to really like me and like working under me, because I don't believe in the words "that's not my job." They all find out quickly that when necessary I will roll up my sleeves and do whatever it takes to get a task completed. 

Also, I just love being an estate manager and personal assistant. The array of tasks you're asked to perform are usually always changing. One minute you're booking a private jet and planning a last minute weekend in Paris, the next you're tasked with finding a discontinued D&G handbag from a magazine that was last published in 1999. I love the variety! I also pride myself on bringing humor and humanity to the job. We can all work very hard and still have a laugh. Laughing is important, and I am not ashamed to say that I am hilarious. I am also a very warm and understanding person. I do bring Southern Hospitality to my job performance, because at the end of the day...I just REALLY love what I do. 

I do prefer the private sector to corporate, though I can do one or the other, or both at the same time. I just find more enjoyment on the private side because the job is more interesting and the tasks vary. I am also happy to fly to Seattle for in person interviews.
