• Responsible for underwriting residential mortgage loans which
  include purchase, refinance, and HELOC requests in accordance
  with the Bank’s underwriting guidelines as well as the agency &
  investor guidelines (FNMA & FHLB) with a focus on turn time,
  services, and quality.
• Reviewed and analyzed mortgage loan application, loan data,
  credit reports, property appraisal reports, income documents, tax
  returns, and the borrower's liquidity to ensure eligibility, accuracy,
  completeness, and compliance with internal & regulatory
  guidelines to minimize credit risk.
• Performed financial analysis to make lending decisions on new,
  renewal and extension of Commercial loans and prepared credit
  approval write-ups for these clients recommending credit actions.
  Monitored covenants of clients within assigned portfolio to
  identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan
  agreement.
   
• Identified potential challenges within the underwriting process
  and gave suggestions to the management & loan processors to
  improve the productivity and quality of loan files.
