Simone Holland

With their storytelling grounded in reality, Simone uses surrealism as their lens. As a 2021 EMMY Award winning Camera Operator and former 2022 ROTATE Fellow, at YouTube and Wieden + Kennedy, Simone continues to push boundaries. She directed and was cinematographer for projects for McDonald’s, Red Bull, Anheuser-Busch Global and Bustle x Hilton, as well as for artists like Jazmine Sullivan, Tone Stith, Adi Oasis and Jamila Woods. As a creative director, Simone has worked with Mcdonalds, Nike, Duracell, and the 2021 BET AWARDS.  Cross-pollinating her creative versatility, Simone applies her multi-disciplinary technical experience to her directorial and creative work as a current 2022 BlackStar Philadelphia Filmmaker Fellowship, Directorial Fellow.

 As a 2021 Emmy Award winning Camera Operator, I have directed and was cinematographer on projects for McDonald’s, Red Bull, Anhauser-Busche and Bustle x HiIlton, as well as for artists like Jazmine Sullivan, Tone Stith, Adi Oasis and Jamila Woods. As a creative director, I have worked with Mcdonalds, Nike, Duracell, and have done packaging for the 2021 BET AWARDS. During my time at YouTube and Wieden + Kennedy, I was able to succeed in both creative tech and creative agency environments. With 9.5 years of professional production, commercial, and artistic experience the tone of my visual work shows my foundational intentionality and the breadth in my style speaks to my adaptability within various markets. From film and commercial production to digital marketing and creative directing, team building is my strong suit.

After Graduating from Villanova University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications, I've been able to apply my journalism background into creating intentional and trendsetting work.
