Shira Hoffman

Shira Hoffman currently works in digital marketing at Terakeet as a Senior Digital Content Specialist. She's passionate about helping companies connect with customers and when they need it most. A passionate story teller, she uses narrative to connect to people to the products they need. 

Shira began her career in publishing as an intern at Tor Books in their editorial and managing editorial departments. Starting in 2007 Shira began her publishing as an assistant. In 2013 she took over as M&O’s Director of Subsidiary Rights. In this role, she handled a wide range of media contracts for M&O. In addition to handling her own eclectic list of clients and supporting some the estates of literary giant - she worked to negotiate deal in books, ebooks, film, tv, radio, and Broadway productions.

During this time, Shira built her own social media presence and helped to develop M&O's presence during their rebranding process. This included contributing to the development and content of M&O's blog, website, and social media platforms. 

Shira is interested in a wide range of areas in and outside of traditional publishing. Including but not limited to, subsidiary rights, editorial, licensing, client management, web-editing, remote-editing, intellectual property management, and contracts. She is an expert negotiator, a intellectual property, a content creator, and a caring editorial collaborator. 

After her time in traditional publishing, she worked as a contractor for Common Sensing, a Bio Tech company which produced smart caps for insulin pens. A total 180 from her previous position, role gave her a fresh take on the data drive startup world.

Shira would also be excited to work with innovative companies looking for adjacent creative skills. For example, start-ups or technology companies looking to improve their online presence. Above all Shira is passionate about helping writers achieve their dreams.
