Shilind Wheaton

I am an educator and facilitator of opportunity with 30 years of experience in theatrical arts education. Centered on student engagement, creative strategies for higher level learning in the arts and taking design from concept to reality for each production. Projects include fully realized theoreticals, technical and color rendered costume designs, scenic scale models for any unique theater space, and demonstrating a pathway to solutions for all theatrical productions

Hard-working and reliable, creative art educator with a strong ability and theatrical arts and inclusive instruction. I offer skills in scenic design, costume, construction, and script analysis.  I am highly organized, proactive and punctual with a team oriented mentality. I’ve been a professional artist working in the industry as well as education since 1989. I currently live in California and will be moving to the area in June 2023.

I have a masters degree in theater production and design from Southern Oregon University. My bachelor of fine arts degree was obtained from California Institute of the Arts. I am also a licensed educator in the state of Kansas as well as hold a mult—subject credential for the state of California with a professional clear in theater and drama education.
