I love the hotel industry!!  I have over 30 + years working with the hotel groups: IHG, Marriot, Best Western, Choice Hotels and Hilton Hotels in the areas of Area Sales Director, General Manager, Director of Sales, Account Manager, Corporate Trainer, Front Office Manager, Group Sales Mgr., Night Auditor, Front Office, and Reservation Manager. Whether it be selling hotel rooms to corporations in my respective markets, selling a hotel to an investor, managing and overseeing the hotel’s accounting system in receivables or payables, implementing a budget, or training sales to other employees in the businesses. I traveled most of my life, with my father being in the Air Force. After serving 6 yrs. myself in the Air Force Reserves, I went into the hotel management field and traveled with the hotels. I also received my real estate license in Kentucky then moved on to get my Real Estate Broker’s license. I am a big picture person.  I strive to find better ways to improve processes, strategies and budgets. I have an entrepreneur spirit.

 

Business to Business Sales to corporations in my market.  I work with accounts to assist with lodging. My career allows me to build partnerships and unite our hotels with the client’s needs. Overseeing the sales team to include motivating, directing and building partnerships in order to meet our hotel’s goals.

Financial reporting of the profit and loss statements for each hotel and adhered to budgetary goals. Coordinating  meetings with new businesses, identify old business that we may have lost and incorporate ways to bring the business to our hotel. 
*Prioritization was key to completing tasks in a timely fashion and I worked to achieve those goals. *
