Shaniya Coffee

I'm Shaniya Coffee. Hello. Majoring in fashion merchandising and design with a focus in applied communication, I am now a junior at Central Michigan University. I prefer to draw and create in Adobe or make garments using hands-on design techniques. I really have clear and focused career goals. Considering others and acting with care.  I worked in customer service for years in retail, which helped me to acquire abilities like multitasking, fast thinking, and communication. Furthermore, you will be introduced to and become acquainted with various software, ranging from CAD programs to Excel sheets. 

I have 3+ years of retail experience working at Kohls, Target, Burlington, and Buckle. Retail is my safe haven, where I will always feel comfortable, therefore I have challenged myself to explore various sorts of employment, such as fast food at Panera, where I have been a Batista and cashier for about 2+ years. In addition, I worked as an operations manager at Stony Creek Metroparks for three years and as a supervisor in my college's athletic department. I enjoy trying new things because it helps me to network and appreciate other types of work that are outside of my comfort zone. Everything has contributed to the hard worker I am now. 

For the most relevant schooling, I am now enrolled at Central Michigan University and am on target to graduate with an applied arts degree. Prior to college, I graduated from Eisenhower High School in Utica, Michigan.
