Seth Kehr

A driven Florida State University student majoring in Management Information Systems with a passion for data analytics. Selected as an FSU Service Scholar, I enjoy giving back to the community, primarily through offering unique opportunities to children with special needs. I have been involved in the professional world since twelve years old and have taken my 10+ years of soccer refereeing experience to start a soccer management company and currently oversee 2 leagues and 20 part-time referee employees.

EXPERIENCE:

Florida State University - University Ambassador: Represents the university providing university-wide tours to groups of 30-70 people. Manages five team members, organizes mass university-wide events, conducts data analysis on event turnout and team performance, and creates and provides reports to supervisor.

Coach's Choice Cup, LLC - Founder: Created website and integrated Microsoft Excel to conduct data analysis and create automations. Conducted market research, identified industry experts to appear as special guests, discovered new market segments through data analytics, managed budget with Microsoft Excel, and minimized cost through CVP analysis to offer the lowest price tournaments in 80 mile radius. Organized three events with 1000+ attendees and donated $1000 of proceeds to health nonprofits. Scaled business in July 2022 to create nation’s first college-only referee group. Recruited, leads, and trains 20 new referees, and negotiates contracts with leagues refs work in.

United States Soccer Federation - Referee: Makes decisive decisions and manages players’ frustrations in a calm and professional manner. Works and builds relationships with different ref team members each game. At fifteen years old travelled independently to European countries representing U.S. Soccer referees at semi-professional tournaments. Currently one of the youngest refs in U.S. semi-professional leagues and mentors new refs. Honored as 2019 Eastern New York Referee of the Year.

FSU Service Scholar Program - Inducted Member: Invited into program as one of twelve students in my year based on unique service in high school. Completes 75+ hours of youth advocacy community service each semester. Provides presentations and leads cohort discussions regarding service area.
