Scott Slous

I am a dynamic Manager of Radiation Oncology, blending 24 plus years of management expertise with a passion for patient care. I like new challenges and solving problems while promoting teamwork. Outside the medical realm, I find solace in hiking and exploring nature's wonders with my two dogs and my wife. I am sociable and enjoy meeting new people and forming meaningful connections. Family holds a special place in my heart, and I dedicate time to nurture those bonds.  I have three sons serving in the Navy and do my best to support them in their military endeavors.  My community spirit shines as I actively engage in local initiatives, making a positive impact wherever I go. I am a remarkable individual with a radiant personality.

I have been a radiation therapist for 35 years, with 24 years in leadership.  I have managed departments of varying sizes and diverse patient populations.  I have worked in large hospital settings and smaller rural facilities.  My goal is always to support my staff and my physicians to make their jobs run smoothly.  I promote communication and teamwork; this is reflected in my employment satisfaction scores.  I enjoy getting to know the medical community and learning where opportunities to promote my department and increase referrals.  In addition to managing departments, and I am also more than capable of stepping in and helping to treat patients, answer the phones, and help out in any way needed.  I enjoy being a hands on leader.  

After graduating from Labette Community College with an Associate Degree in Radiography, I immediately went on to obtain my certification in Radiation Therapy.  After working as a radiation therapist, I returned to school and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science.  My education journey culminated in a Master's Degree in Public Health from Wichita State University/Kansas University.
