I’m a senior technical editor and content leader with 20+ years in the technical documentation and professional writing space, supporting SaaS and enterprise software organizations. My career has focused on transforming complex, large-scale documentation into clear, usable, and consistent content that helps users succeed while reducing support overhead. 

What I’m most passionate about is clarity—making complicated information understandable through strong editorial standards, plain-language principles, and smart content architecture. I enjoy modernizing legacy documentation, improving workflows, and mentoring teams so that content isn’t just accurate, but genuinely helpful. I’m especially energized by integrating AI-assisted documentation workflows that improve quality and speed without sacrificing editorial integrity.

My core strengths include technical editing, documentation governance, DITA XML and Markdown authoring, CCMS administration, single-sourcing, and content modernization. I specialize in setting and enforcing editorial standards, leading large documentation initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and support teams. I also bring a strong background in quality assurance, style guide development, and mentoring writers and editors to perform at their best.

I bring 20+ years of experience in technical editing and documentation leadership, turning complex information into clear, usable, and consistent content. My work has focused on modernizing large documentation ecosystems, improving editorial quality, and building standards that scale across teams and products.

Throughout my career at Deltek, I’ve led major documentation transformation initiatives—converting large legacy content sets into DITA XML and Markdown, implementing single-sourcing and CCMS workflows, and introducing AI-assisted documentation processes that significantly reduced production time while maintaining high editorial standards.

I work closely with product managers, engineers, and support teams to ensure documentation aligns with real user needs and business goals. A key part of my role has been improving documentation usability to reduce customer support demand and increase customer confidence.

I’m also deeply invested in mentorship and collaboration. I’ve trained and onboarded dozens of writers and editors, helped teams adopt new tools and standards, and contributed to stronger engagement and performance through hands-on guidance. With a background in English education, I bring a strong plain-language mindset to every project—bridging technical complexity with clarity and precision.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lamar University, supported by a Texas Lifetime Teaching Certificate in English and Reading (Grades 6–12). My academic background is complemented by ongoing professional training in technical communication, professional writing, documentation standards, editorial quality assurance, HTML, DITA XML, and CCMS platforms. This combination gives me a strong foundation in language, structure, and pedagogy, paired with hands-on expertise in modern technical documentation environments.
