 I got diagnosed with the combined presentation of ADHD when I was four years old. My mom decided to get me tested, because I had trouble getting in bed and staying in bed. I would leave my room in the middle of the night and draw on the hallway walls. I was put on a stimulant medication and have been taking the same one ever since. Until about a month ago, I had never taken the time to research my diagnosis or what having ADHD meant for me. I knew all the stereotypes and that's all I thought ADHD was. After I took the time to learn about ADHD, I realized that most of the things I wanted and tried to change about myself, I couldn't change, and they actually weren't my fault. I realized how hard of a time I had been giving myself for things that weren't in my control, and that realization inspired me to help others who hadn't realized it yet. So, I decided I would start a blog, because no one should ever have to hate themselves in the way that I did. I was my own worst enemy and no one made my life harder than I did. Although I won't only be writing about ADHD, I will still try to encourage and guide those who take the time to read my blogs. I post 1 blog every weekend and I check my email daily, so feel free to email me any questions or requests. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you enjoy my blog and hope that you learn something helpful while you're here.
