My forays into the startup and non-profit worlds, gave me insight into editing, with both empathy and brand impact. As a Silicon Valley professional, I learned to wear many creative hats, acquiring design skills, marketing savvy, and analytical strategy to bolster my editing prowess. I spent the last two years teaching, editing, and working on my passions for creative writing and education directly at UC Riverside. There, I served as Poetry Editor for the renowned literary magazine, the Coachella Review. I vetted hundreds of submissions for the writers with the most substance and dynamism, nominated a Pushcart prize nominee, and interviewed an NAACP Image Award two time nominee.
