I recently studied addiction counseling and rehabilitation counseling theories, gaining a deep understanding of various counseling approaches and their application to diverse client groups. This experience taught me that each individual's therapeutic journey is unique, requiring tailored approaches grounded in theoretical perspectives. My exploration of addiction counseling was particularly enriching, as it provided insights into the complex factors influencing addiction and recovery. Additionally, interdisciplinary studies illuminated the connections between different fields, demonstrating how social work and counseling are deeply intertwined and complement each other in addressing holistic client needs.
