About Samuel Vree:

As an exercise science major out of Hope College, I have spent the last two and a half years establishing myself in the strength and conditioning field in Michigan. Now, home in the south suburbs of Chicago, I am looking for my next opportunity in the field and look forward to establishing my career here. 

Experience

PowerStrength Training Systems (May 2021 - April 2023)

  • Started as an intern, then apprentice, then full time coach, and finally athlete coordinator
  • As an intern and apprentice, I assisted the lead Strength and Conditioning coach at East Grand Rapids high school
  • As the athlete coordinator, I was In charge of the growth & retention of the youth, high school and college programs at a privately owned and operated gym
  • As a coach, I led sessions in the weight room for people of all ages, including youth, HS and college athletes, as well as the general population

 

ETS Performance - College Internship (August 2020 - January 2021)

  • My first experience in the S&C field in order to satisfy the internship requirements for my school
  • Went through guided trainings and practicals in order to “graduate” and begin coaching athletes
  • Ran youth athlete speed classes and worked alongside the full time trainers during the HS athlete sessions
