Howdy, I’m Sammy Brown, and I am honored to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate representing Texas. As a dedicated a proud member of the Republican Party, my journey has been one of commitment, service, and unwavering focus on key issues that matter to our great state.  

Border Security: Promoting Legal Immigration Pathways 

One of my top priorities is border security, and I believe in promoting legal immigration pathways. If someone wants to become a U.S. citizen but cannot afford the fees, I propose that they serve six years in the military. This not only ensures they earn their citizenship through service but also contributes positively to our nation’s defense. 

Require Voter ID 

Security Voting is another crucial issue for me. I advocate for requiring voter ID, as everyone who does business with a bank, doctor, or insurance company is required to have an up-to-date ID. The same should be true for voters; we should not deny anyone the right to vote but ensure that each person is who they claim to be, maintaining the integrity of our electoral process. 

The US Constitution: Upholding the First and Second Amendment 

I am a staunch defender of free speech. Upholding and protecting the First Amendment rights of all individuals within our municipality is essential. No one should have to get permission to meet and speak in public places or buildings, as long as they do so peacefully and without causing disruption. 

The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon. This includes the Federal Government, State Government, Counties, Cities, Communities, or Community Organizations. 

My Background and Personal Interests 

My career, enriched by skills in communication and negotiation, has deeply informed my approach to these issues. I have managed and run a small beekeeping business for 65 years, which has taught me responsibility and a deep connection to our community. On a personal note, I love beekeeping and woodworking. These hobbies reflect my personality and my commitment to the betterment of our community. Thank you for considering my candidacy. Together, we can build a better Texas.

I attended Lamar University and learned computer programming. I attended Kountze School for 12 years.
