Samira Mustapha

Passion for advocacy, a strong background in business, and a keen interest in AI have shaped my career aspirations. Through USC's first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence for Business joint degree program in the Marshall School of Business and Viterbi School of Engineering, I am developing a skillset that will enable me to help businesses adopt AI for strategic decision-making while balancing innovation with ethics.

Work Experience

• Administrative Assistant at USC Dornsife Department of English
  • Provide support to Undergraduate and Graduate Academic Coordinators in the Department of English.
  • Collaborate with Coordinators and fellow Administrative Assistants to facilitate registration for 400+ students in our department’s programs
  • Design graphics for communications and events.
  • Manage inventory, file documents, and track deadlines to ensure efficiency.
  • Deliver courteous service by answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries.

  • Developed, implemented, and analyzed various marketing text and visual advertisements.
  • Measured website traffic.
  • Delivered reports at bi-weekly meetings enabling data-driven decision-making and resulting in improved visibility of advertisements.

• President of the Prince George's Regional Association of Student Governments - 2023-2024
  • Represented over 130,000 students of Prince George’s County Public Schools
  • Led General Assemblies with over 500 student delegates and faculty advisors in attendance.
  • Spearheaded initiatives to promote student safety, student-centered advocacy, and civic engagement
• Legislative Aide for the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) of the University of Southern California
  • Collaborate with my fellow Legislative Executive Team members to implement policies that enhance the student experience and manage the activities of USG’s legislative-advocacy branch and our Senate.

  • Co-led the planning of our inaugural Tech4Good Conference, an event dedicated to connecting USC students with AI and tech startups from a wide range of industries. 
  • Hosted organizations such as WatchDuty, GoGuardian, Snowflake, Tala, and AI LA, and several others to discuss ethical innovation and create opportunities for students interested in exploring the rapidly evolving world of AI.
