About Ruthie Burke:

My teaching experience encompasses 20 years.  My first three years I taught first grade at a charter school in Dallas and then moved to a public school in Red Oak, Texas.  I have taught at the same school for 17 years.  I taught Language Arts for 14 years and most recently have taught Texas History for 3 years.  I acquired my Masters in History in 2024 from SAGU in Waxahachie, TX. 

Experience

My professional teaching experience covers 20 years.  I began teaching at a charter school in Dallas and taught first grade for 3 years.  I then moved to a public middle school in Red Oak, Texas and have taught at the same school for 17 years.  I began by teaching English, Language Arts which I taught for 14 years.  However, I grew to love history and began to pursue a masters in the subject.  I have been teaching Texas History for 3 years.

I earned a Masters in History from SAGU in Waxahachie, Texas in 2024.
