Robin Chasen Siefert is a NYS certified School Library/Media Specialist with a Master’s degree in Library Science and over twenty years of experience teaching adults and children across diverse educational settings. She currently serves as a special education teaching assistant at Eastern Suffolk BOCES and as an ESL teacher, supporting adult learners in developing language proficiency, confidence, and life skills. In addition, she has taught information literacy at the college level, helping students strengthen research, critical thinking, and academic writing skills. Robin is halfway through earning her second Master’s degree in Special Education, has passed the certification exam, and is one course away from full certification validity. Known for designing engaging, hands-on learning experiences, she combines literacy expertise, instructional leadership, and inclusive teaching practices to create supportive environments where learners of all ages and abilities thrive.

Robin Chasen Siefert is an experienced educator and instructional leader with over twenty years of professional experience spanning K–12 education, higher education, adult ESL and special education. She is a NYS certified School Library/Media Specialist with a Master’s degree in Library Science and has taught information literacy at the college level, strengthening students’ research, critical thinking, and academic skills. She has also worked as a public library reference librarian, where she provided research support and designed and facilitated engaging library programs for both adults and children.
Currently, she works in special education at Eastern Suffolk BOCES while teaching adult ESL in the evenings. She is halfway through earning her second Master’s degree in Special Education, has passed the certification exam, and is one course away from full certification validity.
