About Robert Thompson:
I’m a musician, educator, and music business professional with over 10 years of experience in the music industry. I hold a master’s degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and have released eight full-length albums, touring internationally as a performing artist. My career includes guest lectures, workshops, and a strong focus on connecting academic insight with real-world practice.
Currently, I serve as adjunct faculty at Prince George’s Community College in the Washington, D.C. area, where I teach Music Business & Entrepreneurship and Survey of American Popular Music. My teaching philosophy blends creativity with business strategy, helping students understand how to thrive artistically while building sustainable careers.
I’m passionate about supporting the next generation of musicians, sharing the tools, mindset, and industry knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing landscape. Whether on stage or in the classroom, I’m driven by music, learning, and community.
