About Robert Sheehy:

After 51 years there is no doubt my favorite thing to do is laugh!  I have three adult daughters and four grandkids and even though I have worked hard all my life. I worked hard to enjoy life and laugh. I spent fifteen years running a family restaurant before joining the Army in 2010.  The Army turned me into a Combat Medic (Trained to handle trauma situations without blinking an eye, organized several mass vaccination events) which was my stepping stone into nursing.
From 2013-2022 I worked as a Medical Assistant in Truman Medical Centers Cancer Center, one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am a people person, so I get attached easily. The death of so many patients eventually took a toll and I had to move on. Currently I work as a Community Health Education Coordinator for Truman Medical Centers/ University Health. The role allows me to be in the community teaching health education in schools, libraries, senior centers, and community centers etc. The journey life has taken me on so far has shown me that Integrity is the quality I look for in everyone.  Nature and what we leave behind for our future generations is important to me. The military allowed me the opportunity to see the world and it made me realize I want to live near the ocean eventually. I just want to keep on laughing but hard work builds character. I love to laugh.
