About Robert Cervantes:
Accomplished and results - focused Electric Utilities Leader/Contributor with over 25 years of Transmission & Distribution/Power Delivery experience. Beginning in Distribution Planning & Design through Transmission Planning & Design and expanding into Project/Program Management of Construction Teams for hundreds of Overhead (OH) and Underground (UG) T&D systems. Experience in leading/delivering on Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV) energy projects, while coordinating with electric utilities and energy providers across the Western Grid. In addition, possesses thorough expertise in the project management and developing/delivering on 50+ MW large scale/technically demanding power infrastructure projects, while closely coordinating/collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.
• 20-year Career with Southern California Edison (SCE) starting as young planner/engineer and learning entire industry/utility from meter to substation and everything in between followed by strong effective support of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) systems in Renewables, Interconnections, System Hardening, Resiliency, Vegetation Management and Compliance projects.
• Strengths: Building and maintaining mutually successful working relationships with both internal and external customers/clients including bargaining unit and management personnel. Highly effective in creating Win/Win outcomes and results.
• Strong Authentic Leadership (Servant Leader) focused on coaching, mentoring, developing people with an emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion and training.
