STEM Internships

• UC Davis C-STEM Leadership Program - Attended a program in summer 2019. Learned Programming of Raspberry Pi and Arduino boards using Python. 
• Summer Research Academy at UC Santa Barbara - Wrote a research paper on models of online communication. Used R Software for Data Analysis. Presented findings in a capstone seminar.
• Internship in Web Design by Intuit Turbo Tax Software Company - Completed an internship in Web programming (HTML, Java, Script, Photoshop) in collaboration with Girls Who Code.
• Folsom Cordova Unified School District Summer Internship - Taught STEM coursework to low income elementary and middle school students.

• Girls Go Cyberstart Team (2019-present) - President of the Cyber Security Club, national finalist in Girls Go Cyber Start in 2020 & 2021.
• Self-Defense Club at Folsom High School (2020-present) - President of the club, teaching basic self-defense skills to high school students.
• Global Perspective Studies at Folsom High School - Member and volunteer at multiple events like Thinking Day, World Cultures Day, Rotary Club local leader’s forum.

• National Merit Scholar Award - For demonstrating the 4 pillars of excellence: Scholarship, Character, Service, and Leadership. Attained Letter of Commendation.
• Girl Scout Gold Award - Organized workshops on self-defense with local martial arts experts. Created a self-defense curriculum currently implemented in 15 schools.
• Seal of Biliteracy award - Awarded by Sacramento County Department of Education.
• MTAC Piano Award - Received State Honors Award for Piano 2018-2021 (Certificate of Merit) from Music Teachers Association of California.

 

Community Service

• Event Coordinator at Cultural Events organized by Indian Association of Sacramento. Volunteered at language school. Attained the President’s Volunteer Service Award for more than 250 hours of volunteer service.
• Volunteer at Folsom Makers Club (a local computer programming school) teaching python and web design to younger students.
