About Rives Scherer:
I am a rising sophomore psychology-linguistics student, pursuing a research path. I am particularly interested in cognitive aspects of LGBTQ-specific terms, their evolution, and the individual effects of their usage.
I have a strong background in many types of art – costume-making, embroidery, and tailoring; several forays into clay arts and extensive familiarity with modelling- and oven-baked clay; drawing (cartoon and realistic styles) with many tools; painting with acrylic, tempera, watercolor, and spray-paints; lino-cut printing; and more.
I have experience working as a camp counselor, teaching music to elementary-aged children, and as a senior costuming tech in a fast-paced high school theater troupe , teaching machine sewing techniques and maintenance.
