• Under the  supervision of the Nursing Manager, directs and provides nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures; also covid swab individuals and staff members and provide Rapid and PCR results to the DON; enter data into Illinois Electronic Test Ordering and Reporting Portal (IL ETOR)

● As an RN house supervisor, my primary responsibilities are to handle patient care, lead nurses and other staff, complete clerical work, and make administrative decisions.

● Manage the nursing care for all patients in the behavioral health unit. 

● Delegate the shift’s tasks to all of the nurse’s in the unit and coordinate with Healthcare providers who might need assistance. 

● Overseeing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. 

● Recognize changes in patients’ conditions and respond appropriately. 

● Supervise Mental Health Specialist as they complete their assigned tasks and point out any changes or improvement. 

● Detect any issues that could result in injuries or other difficulties for patients or staff members. 

● Inform Attending psychiatrist and Advanced Nurse Practitioners of any changes in patient progress, condition or medicinal needs.
