Reuben Joseph II

As a lifelong swimmer, having learned at 4 years old, I am very passionate about swimming and value its importance as a skill. I have been in the aquatics industry since 2013 when I became a lifeguard as a summer job. I eventually began to do it year round and branched out to also become a Swim Instructor and Coach for various programs such as Rice Aquatics and Float2Fly where I coached swimmers of all ability levels, from new/non swimmers to competitive athletes, and all ages, from Parent and Me classes with babies to elderly adults in both group and private settings. 

I also have experience as a Aquatics manager, where I supervised a team of 50 lifeguards and 15 swim instructors and hosted a summer camp of 120 children ages 6-11. This, along with my background as a lifeguard, causes me to take safety very seriously when it comes to activities in an aquatics center.

I have over 10 years of experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor coaching swimmers of all ability levels and ages as well as 3 years as an Aquatics Coordinator/Manager supervising staff and making sure they are up to date and proficient with their trainings as well as providing customer service and creating programing for Learn to Swim Classes and Summer camps.
