I am a student driven by curiosity, discipline, and a passion for uplifting both myself and those around me. I believe that creating connections with others fosters meaningful friendships and productive work environments. I apply these values at the University of North Florida, where I collaborate with fellow officers in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers to coordinate events that enhance both my interpersonal skills and professional development. I have obtained a minor in mathematics and am currently pursuing my degree in mechanical engineering. I am actively seeking opportunities to expand my engineering knowledge and gain hands-on experience that will help me grow both academically and professionally.

I conducted an independent research study at JEA Sustainable Solutions Lab in Jacksonville, FL, focused on optimizing gear ratios for a hydrogen fuel cell-powered golf cart. I successfully achieved a 6:1 gear ratio from an initial 12.54:1 and performed a cost-benefit analysis of brake pads and gears to ensure the golf cart could achieve a full stop within 109 feet. Collaborating with a team, we designed and fabricated a rear axle that met all required specifications. Through this work, I increased the golf cart’s velocity and fuel cell performance by 76%, demonstrating a strong ability to enhance mechanical efficiency and contribute to sustainable transportation solutions.

I am obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and will be graduating in May of 2025.
