About Peter Rene:

Creator of a zillion guides, tip sheets, and handouts (Microsoft Office, Office 365, Virtual Desktop, Jabber, Customer Service…to name a few). And for most of these applications and devices (VoIP Phone, iPhone, Laptops), I created eLearning videos.

Experience

  • Serve as the Team Lead for the Service Center training department.  Contribute to the knowledge of the Service Center through customer service training, software training, and how to troubleshoot user problems.
  • Deliver software training through onsite and online classes. Also deliver customized training and one on one session to all levels of authority, including bureau chiefs, staff attorneys, 8th floor legal advisors, and administrative staff throughout the Commission. Training is intended to increase productivity and accuracy for the Commission, resolve software issues, and promote best practices.
  • Provide Tier 3 software support to FCC staff with regards to “How To” or assist with troubleshooting issues. 
  • Designed a complete suite of intranet content training modules to provide a knowledge base for use by FCC staff. This knowledge base includes tip sheets, user guides, and training videos.  Training modules include various software applications, FCC issued equipment, and essential self-help material for staff to access at any time. 
  • Participate in preliminary evaluations of software and equipment for upcoming projects. At the request of the Office of Managing Director (OMD), I evaluate in advance software and equipment, research and develop training tip sheets, guides, training videos, and conduct training sessions.  To complete the training for the project, I upload the training material to the Self-Help website on the FCC Intranet. 
  • Participate in meetings with Intrapreneurs to advise on possible solutions to bureau request or problems with software applications. 
  • Daily meetings with OMD/IT staff to report weekly activity, trends, and issues that are occurring within the training department.
