Climate and Clean Energy Initiatives Assistant - May 2023 – Aug 2023

Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy | Madison, Wisconsin

Active member of the State Agency Technical Team, and was responsible for engaging with 22 state

agencies and 60 subject matter experts in Wisconsin on the need to transition their fleet to alternative

fuels in order to reduce emissions and meet the goals of Wisconsin’s clean energy plan. Conducted

outreach for the Inflation Reduction Act and provided agencies with information and resources needed

to proceed with clean energy projects. Reviewed and analyzed existing climate action plans of cities in

Dane and Milwaukee counties in the state of Wisconsin.

 

Conservation Planner Sept 2022 - Nov 2022

International Crane Foundation, East Africa | Kigali, Rwanda

Responsible for developing a conservation plan for Rwanda’s endangered grey crowned cranes and its

habitat, the Rugezi Marsh. Reviewed strategies and conservation plans established by the International

Crane Foundation and modified them to reflect current conservation standards. Designed a situation

model using Miradi software to highlight the direct threats faced by the Rugezi Marsh and proposed

strategies to mitigate these threats. Worked collaboratively with a team to develop a conservation plan

for the Rugezi Marsh with objectives of reaching a conservation goal by 2028. This plan was submitted

to the International Crane Foundation and the Endangered Wildlife Trust Foundation.

Created program scripts and anchored weekly episodes on NovelaE, a prominent entertainment channel

in Africa. Advertised StarTimes' products most notably, solar panels, to viewers across various African

countries, garnering over one million views daily in 32 African countries. Utilised my expertise in

environmental sciences to promote clean energy in Africa when advertising the solar panels.

needed for the mastery of the field. Guided the students who spoke English as a second language to
