Automatic Laundry Services Co. – $50M second largest (privately owned) provider of laundry management services to community laundry facilities throughout the Northeast US.

Chief Financial Officer                                                                                                Jul ’19 to Nov ‘23

  • Strategic business partner to the owners and the executive leadership team.
  • Responsible for directing all aspects of finance and accounting department with a staff of 6 professionals.  Reviewed and presented all financial statements, financial data and metrics and cash forecasts (13 week rolling) in a timely manner to keep owners abreast of the Company’s financial status.
  • Proactively maintain an environment of strong financial controls ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements for annual reports, sales and use tax, property tax and Paid Family and Medical Leave reporting.
  • Worked with management throughout the Company to introduce policies, procedures and processes to enable growth and improve accountability of Company assets and resources.
  • Managed one Human Resources professional and led annual review process and benefits renewals.
  • Managed the Company’s bank relationship and maintained a $10MM non-revolving credit facility (termed out every other year) and instrumental in the addition of a $3MM revolving credit facility.
  • Worked with insurance agency to reduce annual insurance premiums by 17% ($60k) by having multiple carriers quote on the various policies.
  • Worked with benefits broker to develop benefits plan increasing company deductibles and saved the Company 13% ($65k) in benefits premiums in first year.
  • Served as main point of contact with outsourced IT provider to plan equipment needs and IT roadmap.
  • Key role in partner sourcing and the implementation of Microsoft Business Central to support company’s accounting and service back-end requirements.
  • Worked with Service and Operations management teams to reduce inventory and cost of goods adjustments through implementation of procedures and controls to account for all inventory movements and consumption.
  • Serve as administrator for 401k plan, responsible for plan administration and review of 5500 returns.
  • Co-managed Company vehicle fleet of over thirty-five vehicles.

  • Perform CFO and VP Finance roles for clients ranging from pre-revenue start-ups to multi-national corporations with over 500 employees and annual revenues in excess of $150 million.
