I relocated to Western North Carolina after serving the Latinx Community in the Charlotte Metro Area for three years in the non-profit sector. 

Experience

Feb 2022 – Present             Migrant Education Program Youth Mentor, Henderson County Public Schools. Establish rapport with migrant workers and migrant employers. Inform migrant families of their rights. Deliver services such as English as a Second Language and GED testing preparation.

July 2020 – Dec 2020          Executive Director, Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce (CFCOC). Responsible for managing and executing all administrative and operative functions for the organization. Responsible for recruiting new members through networking events and client referrals. Developed a new business plan and strategy to integrate other networking groups within the community to work as a cohort. Increased visibility and forged partnership opportunities with local and area partners and grantors. Oversaw all accounting and financial transactions with the treasurer for proper reporting. Work directly with the Board of Directors to execute internal organization objectives. Developed a new template to market the organization through Constant Contact and increased opened rate by 15 and the click rate by 20 percent.  

May 2019 – Nov 2019         Migrant Education Program Outreach Specialist, Henderson County Public Schools. Outreach to migrant housing locations through Henderson County to identify and enroll all eligible migrant farmworker families and youth. Establish rapport with migrant workers and migrant employers. Inform migrant families of their rights. Assist in the delivery of services. 

Feb 2016 – Mar 2019          Director of Membership & Programs, Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACCC) - Responsible for managing all administrative functions for the organization and assisting in hiring and employee training, and site placement. Responsible for recruiting new members through networking events and client referrals. Increased membership base by an average of 17 percent for three years. Responsible for recruiting members for educational programs through networking events and client referrals. Developed a new member orientation seminar to increase member engagement. Increased total membership income by 10 percent consistently for two years. Developed a training model for volunteers and interns. Developed and executed a new process for accounts receivable. Accounted for 35% of the annual budget. 

Sep 2013 – Present             Co-Owner, Martha’s Cleaning Services - Full-time with MCS since its official founding in September 2013. Responsible for managing financial and administrative functions for the company and hiring and employee training and site placement. Responsible for recruiting new clients through networking events and client referrals. Revamped and led a fledgling operation into viable and sustainable business across the Charlotte region. Currently attends and oversees financial quarter reviews. 

Jun 2012-Sept 2013            Independent AFLAC agent- Provided AFLAC products to business owners that increased profitability, improved employee loyalty, and developed their competitive edge. Led initiative to educate Charlotte’s Hispanic community on health care reform. Obtained HOSA certification for the Healthcare Reform Act. 

Oct 2006- Oct 2011             Sales Manager and Consultant, Verizon Wireless, Huntersville/ Mooresville/ Hickory, NC - Led and managed promotions during six-year tenure. Responsible for all office functions and led a team of 20 professionals. Led initiative to improve customer experience and increase employee loyalty that reducing turnover. Partnered with Sales Directors to generate sales, helping drive a 10 percent increase in customer satisfaction and store sales growth averaging 8-10 percent annually. Increased smartphone sales rate by 15 percent and accessory sales rate by 72 percent.
