Patrick Shea

As my CV indicates, I have many years of experience in academia. Although primarily at the university level, I have had some teaching experience at the primary school level. 

During the fall of 2022, I had the opportunity to visit Colombia and was captivated and charmed by the people and their driven spirit to better themselves. 

I am seeking to broaden my experience to date and would like to live and teach in the country of Colombia for at least a year. 

Senior Multimedia Specialist, Simmons SLIS Media Lab, 2015-2018 Simmons College, Boston, MA

• Oversee all operations of the SLIS Media Lab, including scheduling, recording, editing, archiving, and uploading special events, guest lectures, classroom lectures, and student events for the School of Library and Information Science.
• Consultation and instructional assistance on multimedia software for academic staff and students in the SLIS program. Software programs included, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and Adobe Audition CC.

• Digital preparation of original documents from 10 collections, spanning from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. 
• Assisted Digital Archivist/Librarian in the imaging, extracting, and creating metadata of born digital objects from more than 12 collections.
• Created tags for online collections and verified authority files as well as creating name authority files when necessary.
