Patricia Ruiz Cota

I am an IMG for Mexico pursuing a Surgical residency, I graduate 3 year ago and during this time I got prepared for USMLE Step 1 and 2. I have 1 year experience in research (during my medical social service). I have experience in planning and development of research projects, data collection, writing and submitting manuscripts. I have published 4 studies (1 indexed journal) and 3 poster presentation. Currently doing and observership in UCSD in the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery. 

Working as an aftercare physician for a metabolic and bariatric group for the last three years, 1 year of research experience (during my social service en Mexico), currently doing an Observership in UCSD, Division Minimally Invasive Surgery; where I joined the research lab and I started helping writing manuscripts. 

Graduate from Medical School from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico. Awarded to the highest performing student of the graduating class and selected by the Pfizer Scientific Institute (ICP) and the Mexican Association of Medical Schools (AMFEM), awarded to the highest performing student of the graduating class in each school of medicine in Mexico.
