Oxana Rosca

I am a Ph.D. candidate trained in educational psychology, measurement, and statistics with expertise in data analysis, psychometrics, and education research. I specialize in test development, evaluation, and validation. I am a reliable individual, smart and committed to a job well done. I am organized and dependable, successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude.

I am a psychometrician and data analyst with over six years of experience in research, educational assessment, and large-scale data analysis. I have worked on federally funded research projects at the University at Albany (SUNY), including the IES-funded DAACS project, where I led psychometric analyses using R, SPSS, and Mplus. I applied IRT models, DIF detection, and regression methods to improve diagnostic assessments of math, reading, and academic writing skills and self-regulated learning survey. I also worked at the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities as a data analyst, conducting multiple imputation, regression modeling, and creating Tableau dashboards. I have coauthored peer-reviewed publications, taught undergraduate courses in research methods, and presented at APA, AERA, and NCME.

I am completing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Methodology at the University at Albany, SUNY (expected August 2025). My doctoral training focuses on advanced psychometric methods, including item response theory (IRT), differential item functioning (DIF), validity analysis, and large-scale assessment design. I have completed extensive coursework in statistical modeling, structural equation modeling, and data analysis using R, SPSS, and Mplus. My dissertation examines college readiness among adult and traditional students using diagnostic assessments in math, reading, and self-regulated learning.
