Noha Alarabi

My name is Noha Alarabi, I have recently moved to the USA for reasons related to family, and I hold an authorization to work in the US. Prior to coming here, I was holding a position as External Relations Officer at WHO Regional Office in Cairo since October 2021 until July 2024.

I have a passion for helping others and bringing a positive change especially to the lives of vulnerable people. Most of my professional experience has been in fragile settings where I have worked for the WHO to facilitate life-saving humanitarian support to vulnerable populations. 

The current and previous senior management of WHO for the Whole of Syria may testify to my strong contribution in coordinating and managing a successful funding portfolio of over USD 500 mil of worth from 2016 until now in a delicate political context compounded with severe hardship and complex emergencies. In addition to my experience in emergencies, my regional portfolio allowed me to deepen my understanding in health partnerships within other contexts: development (Jordan), peace building and early recovery (Iraq), multifaceted crisis (Lebanon) and health emergencies (Cholera, COVID-19). My portfolio includes managing grants with USAID/BHA, EU/ECHO, UKAID/FCDO, Japan, Germany/BMG, Italy/AICS and many others.

What I can contribute to your organization, in addition to my great enthusiasm for the field, is a decent experience of work in emergency in the field of advocacy and fund raising as well as varied interpersonal skills and competencies which I have managed to shape during my years of experience in WHO where I have had the opportunity to work and gain a strong understanding of resource mobilization in different settings (fragile & emergencies, early recovery, developing) both from country and regional perspective, as well as build constructive relations with many reputable external partners and donors.
