Noah Seaner

My name is Noah Seaner, and I am an aspiring data analyst and statistician. I am a graduate from Lafayette College with a dual degree in mathematics and German, a minor in data science, and a concentration in statistics. While at Lafayette, I held a leadership position as a co-president of the German Club.

My passion for data analytics and statistics stems from my love of analyzing trends and the important role they play in the decisions we make. In my experience, translating numbers into recommendations and insight has become an increasingly more crucial task as our dependency on technology continues to grow. Using software such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and R, I have over a year of hands-on experience producing data-driven narratives and recommendations by translating the complex world of mathematics into stories that everyone can understand and consider.

My data analytics journey began as a Microsoft Excel and Tableau Trainee for the Global Career Accelerator. During this three-month internship, I gained hands-on experience transforming large datasets into actionable insights for real-world applications. I learned how to clean, aggregate, and visualize data using best practices in both Excel and Tableau. Then, during my senior year, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Lafayette men's basketball team's data analytics squad. Applying what I learned from my time at the Global Career Accelerator, I analyzed game data in collaboration with a team of fellow students to complete analytical projects that would enhance team performance. Most notably, I used scrimmage data from the preseason to emphasize the importance of rebounding, computing how many points the team would score as well as how many fouls players would draw after getting an offensive rebound. As a result, the team's rebounding numbers improved significantly from the year before.

I graduated from Lafayette College in May 2025 with a dual degree in mathematics and German, a minor in data science, and a concentration in statistics. During my time at Lafayette, I made the Dean's List five times, I was inducted into the Delta Phi Alpha German National Honors Society, and I won the Rexroth Prize in German as an outstanding senior, while also holding a leadership role as co-president of the German Club.
