Key Responsibilities:
• Biohazard Cleanup: Safely remove and dispose of biological contaminants, including blood, bodily fluids, and tissue, from crime scenes, trauma incidents, unattended deaths, hoarding situations, and medical waste areas.
• Disinfection & Sanitization: Utilize specialized chemicals and equipment to clean and disinfect contaminated areas, ensuring the prevention of disease transmission.
• Hazardous Waste Disposal: Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and local regulations for the safe handling, transport, and disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Usage: Properly wear and maintain PPE such as gloves, masks, suits, and respirators to ensure safety while handling hazardous materials.
• Decontamination Procedures: Thoroughly clean and decontaminate equipment and workspaces to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Crime Scene & Trauma Cleanup: Provide professional cleaning services in sensitive environments, including violent crime scenes, suicides, and other trauma-related incidents.
• Odor Removal & Air Purification: Operate ozone machines, air scrubbers, and other specialized equipment to eliminate persistent odors caused by decomposition and hazardous substances.
• Mold & Pathogen Remediation: Identify and remove mold, bacteria, and viruses from contaminated areas, restoring a safe and healthy environment.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cleaning procedures, material usage, and waste disposal to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Emergency Response: Remain on-call for urgent biohazard incidents, responding promptly to various locations, often working non-traditional hours.
• Customer Communication & Compassionate Service: Engage with property owners, families, businesses, and law enforcement with professionalism, empathy, and discretion in emotionally challenging situations.
