Nancy Amert

Nancy has over 25 years of experience as an accomplished entrepreneur, innovator, and corporate executive across a wide range of markets, including utilities, manufacturing, and financial services. Her work has focused on developing client-oriented solutions that are scalable for mass markets and identifying cutting-edge technology solutions for enterprise markets.

In her previous role as Director of CGI’s Trade Innovation Lab, Nancy concentrated on future-proofing CGI’s key intellectual property and leading a comprehensive business roadmap for emerging trade solutions. She set strategic alignments for innovation through the evaluation of disruptive technologies, partnerships, and investments. Her team is actively engaged in projects involving AI/ML, Web3, NFTs, cryptocurrency, DeFi, DAOs, the Metaverse, and hybrid solutions.

Before joining CGI, Nancy held various leadership roles at Cisco Systems, IBM, and Seagate Technologies, managing areas such as technology, digital product innovation, business platform innovation, strategy and product development, firm-wide shared services, and early-stage tech development. She also has a proven track record in startup creation and intellectual property development, resulting in the launch of two startups and three granted patents, as well as supporting five patent filings while at IBM.

Her impressive achievements have earned her recognition as one of only 12 women in technology globally to be shortlisted for the prestigious Women In Tech (W.I.T.) Bank Tech UK award in December 2021.

Nancy holds a Master of Business Administration degree, along with PMP, SPC, and ITIL certifications. She graduated from Marist College and completed IBM's 'Big Blue' management training program.
