I am a dedicated professional with over 14 years of experience in the field of library science. Currently working at Nordstrom in the shipping department, I served as a librarian at Equator University and a lecturer at the Department of Library and Information Science at Kyambogo University, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my roles.
My passion lies in integrating information technology into libraries and information dissemination centers. With over 14 years of progressive experience in Librarianship and Information Technology, I have built a strong career specializing in library systems administration, academic librarianship, and digital resource management. I hold a Master of Information Technology from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Library and Information Science from Uganda Christian University. Throughout my career, I have served in key roles, including Senior Librarian, Acting University Librarian, and Assistant Lecturer, across prestigious institutions such as Equator University of Science and Technology, Victoria University, Nkumba University, Bundibugyo Community Library, and Kyambogo University. My expertise covers a broad range of skills, from managing Integrated Library Systems (KOHA), institutional repositories, and electronic resources to cataloguing, research support, academic instruction, and technical troubleshooting.
I have consistently demonstrated leadership in establishing and transforming library services, managing budgets and acquisitions, enhancing digital access to information resources, and developing policies that support academic and community growth. I am highly proficient in digital information technologies, database management, and content curation, and have a proven track record of supporting research, training users in information literacy, and fostering community engagement in library programs. With a deep commitment to professional development and innovation in knowledge management, I am passionate about driving library modernization to meet the evolving needs of users in higher education and beyond.
