Mthunzi Ramphele

I've worked with major studios like Sony Pictures Animation, Mattel Films, and Starburns Industries, crafting compelling stories for film, television, and gaming. My expertise lies in screenwriting, brand storytelling, and strategic writing, blending narrative depth with market-driven creativity. I've contributed to high-profile projects, developing engaging, high-impact stories that resonate with audiences. My work has earned awards and nominations, reflecting my ability to create meaningful and dynamic content across media.  

I earned an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California as the inaugural George Lucas Scholar, where I refined my storytelling skills and developed a deep understanding of narrative across film, television, and gaming. Before that, I earned a BA (honors) in Film and Television Studies from the University of Cape Town, building a strong foundation in media analysis, production, and visual storytelling. Throughout my education, I consistently excelled, appearing on the Dean’s List multiple times and graduating Summa Cum Laude for both degrees.
