Hi, my name is Monica. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am able to medication, provide consultations, diagnose, treat, and provide minor psychotherapy. 

Do you miss the feeling of being young and living a simple and happy life without any care in the world?

We've all been through a roller coasters in our lives whether it's big or small issues.

I've been a nurse for almost a decade, devoted to psychiatry and mental health is my specialty. This specialty has found me since I graduated high school, and ever since then it became my passion. I'm able to advocate, medicate and communicate with minor therapy to help find the root of your daily struggles. I am able to help anyone who suffers with depression, anxiety, bipolar, and schizophrenia. Mental health doesn't have to be long-term journey but with the right support, it can be treatable. We can beat mental health together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first sessions will be an introductory period, building the therapeutic communication and rapport with one another. It may take time to get comfortable with one another but I promise to make the process simple and less overwhelming.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I may use a variety of treatments – including various forms of psychotherapy, medications, psychosocial interventions and other treatments depending on the needs of each patients.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is being able to empathize with mental health and especially depression. I grew up in a family where mental health is a stigma and it was something we don't talk about it until it's almost too late. Depression is real, whether people like to talk about it or not. It eats at us alive from the inside and not being able to see the light in tunnel can be a very scary feeling. My goal is to lessen your depression and face the struggles together.
