I have worked and studied in several countries and my scholarly and professional backgrounds are diverse: The University of Tokyo (Kenkysei) Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies (formerly known as Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication Studies); University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) MFA in Motion Pictures/Television Division; International Communication, Ohio University Ph.D., School of Media Arts & Studies (formerly known as: School of Telecommunication). I have been a Professor at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Journalism and Mass Communication (Broadcasting), College of International Studies (Department of International and Area Studies) and College of Arts and Sciences (Film and Media Studies Department).
