Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP),Baltimore, MD/USA 

Research Officer (April 2023-present)

  • Designed, implemented, and presented national Malaria Behavior Surveys (MBS) in Burundi and Angola to improve understanding of malaria behaviors, inform national level strategies, and provide insights for communication campaign activities
  • Led a     quasi-randomized control community trial of a referral system and communication materials for traditional medicine practitioners in Sierra Leone. This project demonstrated increased referral completions and prompt referrals and is in the process of scaling up nationally in Sierra Leone.
  • Conducted social media listening campaigns to better understand individuals perceptions of the new malaria vaccine in Burundi, providing key insights to inform the national awareness campaign.
  • Lead a mixed methods evaluation of the global health security risk communication platform in Sierra Leone, providing insights into strengths and threats to the Sierra Leone national health security.

Senior Research Data Analyst (February 2021- April 2023)

  • Co-investigator for variety of SBC research surveys with oversite from project PIs including malaria, infectious disease, and global health security
  • Responsible for monitoring the Living Safely with Animals campaign, a national level public health campaign on rabies awareness in Sierra Leone. Demonstrated increased knowledge, message saturation, and improvements in care-seeking as a result of the campaign.
  • Co-created and submitted monitoring and evaluation plans for malaria and family planning activities, including designing indicators, creating project monitoring plans, and developing the theory of change.
  • Conducted monitoring and evaluation on health promotion and behavior change activities in the field in Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Angola.

Associate Procurement Specialist (June 2020- February 2021)

  • Managed the procurement and delivery of malaria commodities to Presidents Malaria Initiative (PMI) supported countries as a part of the Global Health Supply Chain, procurement and supply management project.
  • Analyzed procurement data and timetables to inform decision-making and improve supply chain efficiency, including tracking inventory levels and assessing transportation performance.
  • Collaborated with logistics, finance, and program management teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods and services, enhancing overall project effectiveness.

World Food Program, The Gambia

M&E Officer, (October 2019- March 2020)

  • Lead a decentralized evaluation of all nutritional activities in The Gambia from 2016-2020.
  • Analyzed and presented data on survey data on nutrition support for children and pregnant women to support programming reporting and decision making.
  • Designed tools and monitored implementation of a cash-based transfer supporting hundreds of farmers in drought stricken Upper river region using a novel mobile money application.

Peace Corps, the Gambia

Health Extension Specialist (October 2017- October 2019)

  • Worked in a low resource environment to build the capacity of health care professionals with computer literacy, data collection and analysis.
  • Designed, implemented, and analyzed yearly survey data on volunteer metrics as M&E team lead
  • Selected as the only health volunteer to support the creation of the health framework for Peace Corps the Gambia for 2020-2027. This involved a mixed methods desk review of current health activities as well as the design of a health logical framework, Monitoring and Evaluation plan, bridge to training and other documents.
  • Served as a Peace Corps Volunteer Leader, overseeing fifty volunteers in country and responsible for training, management, and advocacy.
