About Mia Wilwert:

Hi! My name is Mia Wilwert, and I'm from East Dubuque, Illinois. Being from a small town, I value community in a workplace, as well as organization, determination, and hard work. I haven't had a ton of work experience yet, but I'm hoping to get more involved on campus and get a job.

Experience

Being a lifeguard made my communication skills a lot better. Having to talk to parents/managers/kids was a major part of my job. I also learned a little about leadership. Working with some kids a few years younger than me put me in a leader position. I usually led by example, not so much being loud and heard.

Education

Graduated from East Dubuque High School in 2024. Now a student at the University of Iowa where I study Journalism and Mass Communication on the Marketing Track.
